Three questions before you speak

A lot of times, you are told think before you act. Recently, a primary school teacher taught me three questions to ponder before speaking

  1. Is it kind?
  2. Is it necessary?
  3. Is it the true?

These are the words that may be written in a poem or spoken by the wise.

Sometimes the words we have spoken cannot be returned.

  1. A stone after it’s thrown,

  1. a word once it is spoken,

  2. an occasion once it is missed,

  3. an action when it is done, and

  4. time once its passed

Be mindful of your speech.
